Mow, Pull, Spray, or Ignore

CHAPTER 9: How To Use The Will

RIGHTLY RICH QUOTE: “The more steady and continuous your faith and purpose, the more rapidly you will get rich, because you will make only positive impressions upon substance; and you will not neutralize or offset them by negative impressions”.

No matter how you decide to tackle the weeds in your yard (or not) you still know they are out there and need to be dealt with (or not). If you are not thinking about them consciously or all the time, at some level you know those weeds are doing their thing; growing like weeds.

I liken weeds to the negative impressions that my buddy Wallace D. Wattles (I can call him buddy you know; after all what’s he going to do about it?) discusses in Chapter 9.

“The more steady and continuous your faith and purpose, the more rapidly you will get rich, because you will make only positive impressions upon substance; and you will not neutralize or offset them by negative impressions”.

Sometimes I take them head on, the weeds that is. I go for the throat with Round-Up or I pull them up by the root. This morning I simply mowed them down. I know they’ll be back next week, trying to grow higher than the newly planted lilac I’m trying to protect.

So what can I do about the weeds or negative impressions in my Mind?

In my Chapter 8 blog last week, the negative impressions had a hand up on me.

However, my Fearless resolve (the path I chose when I started this journey) and Consistant Action (daily study The Science of Getting Rich) I have discovered a better stategy for dealing with negative impressions and I have implemented it from this day forward as part of my PRACTICE and PURPOSE to be RICH.

Rather than pretend that the negative impressions don’t exist . . . the part of my Mind that taunts me with;

“You can’t do. Just who do you think you are?”

“What the hell were you thinking? Don’t you know your place in this world by now?”

“Don’t set yourself up, you’re just going to blow it.”

“What did you expect? You know what ALWAYS happens.”

I’ve discovered that when I acknowledge that part of my mind . . . ACKNOWLEDGE that it exists. . . that we are sharing the same body, the same living space and that one cannot live without the other, and son on; that part of me becomes very still. Then the part of me that knows the TRUTH reaffims my INENTION to be RICH ; to live in the richness of this moment that is mine to enjoy.

PRACTICING MY PURPOSE: When I acknowledge ALL the parts of myself, I see that we are all seeking the same outcome. I will be steady in my FAITH as I live my PURPOSE; to receive all the desires of my heart.
